Shocking Blue komen deze week als hoogste nieuw binnen op nummer 30 met Eve and the apple. Jaap Dekker zien we voor ’t eerst in de Top 50 op nummer 42 met z’n groene knollenland. Vicky Leandros is van de eerste plaats verstoten door de Partridge Family met hun maxi single I think I love you. De Osmonds stijgen maar liefst 31 plaatsen deze week en komen daarmee op 13 uit met hun Crazy Horses. De kerst komt eraan en dat zie je vooral tussen de kanskaarten, zowel bij die van Leo als die van Nico. De kanskaarten van Tony Berk en Leo van der Goot waren voor mij toch wel onbekende plaatjes, de andere kanskaarten zijn allemaal wel bekende nummers.

Ian Anderson is a Scotsman, who is on board the Mebo 2 this week. Rob Eden helps pick the winner of hitback competition no. 4 this evening, as Brian McKenzie is asleep at the time. The record for competition no. 6 is “Sorry Suzanne” by the Hollies and only a very small part of it is played. Two mobile discotheques today – one with Leo van der Goot and the other with Tony Berk and Alfred Lagarde.
