Elton John in de hoogste nieuwe binnenkomer deze week op nummer 34 met Rocket Man/Tiny Dancer. Bescheiden komt Neil Diamond binnen op 37 met Song Sung Blue. Op 39 verwelkomen we Debbie met Everybody Join Hands en op 40 de Golden Earring met Buddy Joe. Memories van Earth & Fire staat onveranderd op nummer 1 maar Axis stormt vanaf 13 de Top 3 binnen met Ela Ela. Het prachtige Walking in the rain with the one I love van de Love Unlimited is deze week de Treiterschijf. Het Ochtendeditie team en Peter Holland hebben Mike en Michael tot Kanskaart verheven, zowel A Star als Caroline. Dit is trouwens de eerste week dat de achterkant van de Top 50 in een rood-achtige/zwart kleurencombinatie is gedrukt. Vorige week was het nog blauw in plaats van rood.

There is an edition of Nordsee goes DX broadcast on shortwave between 10.00 and 11,00 this morning, with Paul May filling in the hour before and after the programme. The featured station on today's programme is RNI itself - "The Radio Nordsee International Story Part 1", covering the period from the start of the station up to the attempted raid by Kees Manders on 29 August 1970. Programme fragments heard in the show include Roger Day and Horst Reiner from the start of the station in February 1970, Bob Mackie from the week that the station broadcast as Radio Caroline International in June 1970 (with the jamming signal), Mark Wesley from June 1970, including news read by Alan West, and Alan West, Andy Archer and Carl Mitchell from the day of the raid, Alan West from later that day and Larry Tremaine from later that same day as well.

A mobile discotheque today features Tony Berk and Brian McKenzie.
