De Gloomys komen deze week binnen op nummer 50 met I’m a bum, een grappig plaatje. Three Dog Night is zeer succesvol in de VS, in Nederland sloegen ze wat minder aan, toch komen ze deze week nieuw binnen op nummer 47 met Joy to the world. En het prachtige Faithfull van Marvin, Welch & Farrar verwelkomen we deze week op nummer 45 in de Top 50. De twee treiterschijven van deze week zullen het ver gaan schoppen in de Top 50, Brown sugar van de Stones en Rosetta van Fame & Price. Jan van Veen heeft een werkelijk prachtige nummer tot kanskaart gekozen, Andalusische gedichten van Aguaviva.

Ferry Maat interviews Peter Maffay in the second hour of his show this afternoon. RNI is currently playing "Indiana wants me" by R Dean Taylor, as it is just starting to be a hit in the UK. News today is read by Dave Rogers and Crispian St John.

 

Wednesday 21 April 1971

More new records introduced - "Eeny Meeny" by the Showstoppers and "Brown Sugar" by the Rolling Stones. Crispian St John plays a lot of easy listening records in the first half hour of the breakfast show. News today read by Stevi Merike, Crispian St John and Alan West.

 

Thursday 22 April 1971

Stevi Merike goes off on shore leave and Tony Allan returns. But Martin Kayne would still seem to be on shore leave, so Alan West stays on board. Programmes today are:

Tony Allan back on the breakfast show today. New records on board this week include "Ain't got time" by the Impressions, "It's a sin to tell a lie" by Gerry Monroe, "Try some buy some" by Ronnie Spector and new records by the Motown Spinners, Elton John, David Rose, Lynn Anderson, Jon Entwistle, Jimi Hendrix, Marvin Gaye, Maggie MacNeal and the Bintangs.

The first half hour of the breakfast show is much more pop than when Crispian St John did it. Alan West still on board as he keeps stressing in his show.
