Op nummer 27 komt
Love’s theme van de Love Unlimited als hoogste nieuwe binnen. In mijn
herinnering was dat meer een zomerplaatje dan een winterplaatje. Op nummer 43
komt ’t mooie The Letter binnen van Bojoura. Op nummer 24 komt het “ledenwerf”
nummer van Veronica binnen, Hal Dorado met 240024. Alvin Stardust, die we ook
in van Oekel’s Discohoek konden zien optreden, komt binnen op nummer 50 met
My Coo CaChoo. Ringo Starr zingt deze week de treiterschijf vol met een oud
nummer : You’re sixteen. Het thema van het Amerikaanse TV programma Soultrain

over the past week, excluding the Treiterschijf and
Smash Play, have been:
Leo van der Goot has been too busy to
make a tape for today’s Driemaster, so the programme is presented live by

2. Tonight’s programmes are: 20.00 Roger Kent (Hitback
Show) 22.00 Graham Gill (Request Show) 24.00 Rob Eden (Contemporary Music) 2.00 – 4.00 Don Allen Roger Kent will now be the regular host
for the hitback show following the departure of
Mike Ross. There is no hitback competition this
week. Graham Gill has received a letter requesting him to sing “Way back home” on the Request
Show, so he does. Monday 18 February 1974 Leo van der Goot is back on Driemaster
today. The Dutch service has a new advert for K-Tel’s “20 Power Hits”, which
features recent hits by Redbone, Long Tall Ernie and the Shakers, Nick
Mackenzie, BZN and the Dizzy Man’s Band amongst others. There is a new DJ
between 19.00 and 20.00 today, Albert de Keyser, whose programme
replaces the oldies programme that Hans Molenaar used to present at the same time on Monday.

Marc now seems to be the only DJ to mention the forthcoming Dutch Act – the
others seem to be ignoring it. International service programmes
are as last night. Wednesday 20 February 1974 The programme
schedule is the same as yesterday. Thursday 21 February 1974 The whistle that has been over RNI’s
medium wave signal is particularly persistent today, especially during Driemaster and after 22.30 in the Brian McKenzie show.
Brian says that when he has a sneezing fit he sees it as a sign that the
North Sea is about to get some good weather. Friday 22 February 1974 Hans ten Hooge
and Brian McKenzie go off on shore leave and Robin Banks and Gerard Smit return to the Mebo 2. This
changes tonight’s International service programmes

that RNI Promotions, which has been advertising for several weeks in Disc
magazine and has now also started to advertise in Record Mirror, has no
connection with RNI and that listeners are advised that RNI T-Shirts should
only be bought from Vista Sports Limited in Croydon. Then the new records that I heard for the
first time on RNI during the week commencing 16 February 1974, that were not
in the charts:
