Een ieder zat toen voor de TV gekluisterd om de schaatsprestaties van Ard en Keesie te bewonderen. De SpEcials maakten een lied ter gelegenheid van het wereldkampioenschap van Ard Schenk. Het overgekende Proud Mary van Ike en Rtina staat ook voor ’t eerst in de Top 50 en wel op nummer 36. Saskia en Serge kunnen nog niet aan de winter wennen en zingen daarom nog over de Zomer in Zeeland, nieuw binnen op nummer 49. Ze komen daarmee nieuw binnen op nummer 24. De twee treiterschijven deze week zijn Bojoura met Black Sheep Child en de Osmonds met One Bad Apple.

Johan Maasbach is on one hour later on Sundays, from 7.30 to 8.00. The Super Hit 50 show from 15.00 to 18.00 is hosted today by Martin Kayne and the programme from 24.00 to 2.00 on Monday morning is presented by Crispian St John. Otherwise the programme schedule is the same as yesterday.

 

Monday 1 March 1971

The programme schedule is the same as on Saturday up to about 19.00, when RNI goes off the air for the rest of the day, although no reason is given for this break in transmissions. Earlier it was announced that Stevi Merike would be back on the Mebo 2 on Friday.

 

Tuesday 2 March 1971

Back on the air as usual this morning. The programme schedule is the same as Saturday, except that the final programme from 24.00 to 2.00 is presented by Crispian St John.

 

Wednesday 3 March 1971

It is announced that the Dutch service of RNI will start this coming Saturday, 6 March, and feature two former Radio Veronica DJs, Jan Van Veen and Joost de Draaier.

 

Thursday 4 March 1971

Stevi Merike returns from shore leave a day earlier than expected and is replaced on shore leave by Alan West. Programmes today are:

Dave Rogers goes off on shore leave after his 12.00 to 15.00 programme, so today’s programme schedule is the same as yesterday. New records coming out to the Mebo 2 include those by Balls (“Fight for my country”), Janis Joplin (“Me and Bobby McGhee”) and Paul McCartney (“Another day”). Most of the DJs are now featuring their own LPs of the day in their programmes.
